The Refounding of the Empire

Citizens — the Empire you return to is not the one you left. When the old markets collapsed beneath the weight of counterfeit fortunes, the Senate razed the corrupted institutions and Refounded the Empire on honest labor: the quarries.
Your fortunes stand. Every denarius you carried through the Refounding remains yours. The Senate will not confiscate the wealth of citizens who built this city — old-era coin is a testament to service, not a crime. But the mints are cold now: the markets are gone, and no fortune may again be conjured from nothing. What circulates henceforth must be mined, sold, and traded.
Your stations are restored. By decree of the Veteran Census, rank is recognized by deed — the stone you moved, the quarries you opened, the seasons you served. Veterans of the old era wear their rank again. Check it with /rank, then take up your pickaxe: the ten quarries of the Refounded Empire await, and the ladder climbs higher with every honest block you break.
Old-era balances are kept and honored. Ranks are restored by the Veteran Census. The stock markets are permanently closed. New denarius enters the world only through mining and trade, and the rank ladder is priced for honest work.
