Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the Imperium MC website, why we use them, and how you can control them. For details on what personal data we collect and how it is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
Essential cookies only, by default. We use cookies primarily to keep you logged in and the site secure. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or sell cookie-based data.
Types of cookies we use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. The primary example is our authentication session token, which keeps you logged in as you navigate between pages. Without it, you would need to re-enter your login code on every page load. These cookies cannot be disabled — the site does not work without them.
Preference Cookies
These remember choices you make, such as whether you last logged in with Discord or a webcode, so we can show you the right option next time. They are optional and do not affect core site functionality.
Analytics & Performance Cookies
If enabled, these help us understand how visitors use the site (aggregate page views, load times, error rates) so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell cookie data to anyone. Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated.
Managing cookies
Browser Controls
All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies in their privacy settings. The exact path varies: Chrome (Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies), Firefox (Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies), Safari (Preferences → Privacy → Cookies), and Edge (Settings → Cookies and site permissions). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
Do Not Track
We respect Do Not Track (DNT) signals where required by law. Because our analytics (when active) are aggregate and anonymized, DNT primarily affects any optional tracking — it does not change the strictly necessary authentication cookies required to use the site.
Third-Party Services
Some content or features embed third-party services that may set their own cookies: Discord (for the login button), and the Minecraft head/avatar image provider (crafthead.net or similar). These third parties have their own cookie and privacy policies that we do not control. PayNow, our payment processor, sets cookies during the checkout flow on their own domain.
Questions about cookies?
If you have questions about how we use cookies or want a specific data request handled, reach out on Discord and we will help.
