Privacy Policy

Purposes

We do not sell your personal data, ever. We never share it with third parties for advertising. Data is shared only with the service providers we rely on to operate (hosting, payments, Discord) and only as needed to run those functions.

We keep gameplay and account data for as long as your account is active so your progress, cosmetics, and rank persist. IP address logs are kept only for the limited moderation window needed to detect cheating and ban evasion, then deleted. If you request account deletion, we remove your personal data except where we are required to retain it for fraud prevention or legal compliance.

This website uses essential cookies to keep you logged in to your Imperium account and to secure forms against abuse. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics, if added later, will be privacy-respecting and disclosed here.

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to export a copy of your data in a portable format, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, open a ticket in our Discord and our average response time is 30 days under GDPR and 45 days under CCPA, though these are averages, not guaranteed deadlines. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children's privacy: This Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us on Discord and we will delete it immediately.

When you sign in with Discord, Discord processes some data under their own policy. Read the Discord Privacy Policy for details on what they handle.

Under the EU/UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases:

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), when you create an account, link your Minecraft UUID, or make a purchase, we process the data necessary to provide the service you requested (gameplay state, rank, currency balances, order fulfillment).

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), we process gameplay statistics, IP addresses for anti-cheat and ban-evasion prevention, and leaderboards because these are necessary to run a fair, functional multiplayer game. Our legitimate interest is maintaining game integrity and community safety. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), when you choose to link your Discord account, you consent to that data transfer. You can withdraw consent at any time by unlinking in your dashboard or contacting us.

Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)), we may retain certain data where required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax compliance).

Your data is processed by services hosted primarily in the United States. When we transfer personal data outside the EU/UK, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the UK Extension to the DPF, under which our U.S.-based providers (Cloudflare, Supabase, PayNow) are certified or covered. For providers not covered by the DPF, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

We use the following third-party services to operate Imperium MC. Each processes personal data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

• Cloudflare, Inc., web hosting, DNS, security, cookieless analytics
• Supabase, PostgreSQL database hosting
• Layerbase, Redis cache and session storage
• Discord (Discord Inc.), OAuth2 authentication, community platform
• PayNow Services, Inc., merchant of record, payment processing
• Mojang Studios / Microsoft, Minecraft UUID and username resolution

We do not sell your personal data to any third party, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to: know what personal data we collect; request deletion of your data; request correction; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal data; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Do Not Sell or Share: Imperium MC does not sell or share your personal data for monetary or other valuable consideration, as those terms are defined under CCPA. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out is needed because we do not engage in these practices. If our practices change, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on this page.

To exercise any CCPA right, contact us at privacy@imperiummc.net or via Discord. We will verify your identity before responding, within approximately 45 days on average (not guaranteed).
