Terms of Service

1. Account Ownership & Linking

Your Imperium account is linked to your Discord account via OAuth2. You own your account, but you are responsible for maintaining access to both your Discord and linked Minecraft account. If you lose access to Discord, you can unlink and relink accounts in-game.

• Do not share your Discord login credentials
• Enable two-factor authentication on Discord for account security
• Account recovery requires identity verification

2. Cosmetics & Progression Permanence

Cosmetics earned in Imperium are permanently yours. When you prestige (reset rank), all cosmetics you own stay equipped and remain accessible. Cosmetics accumulate across all 8 historical eras (P0-P7). This is a core mechanic and will not change.

• Cosmetics cannot be traded, sold, or transferred to other accounts
• Cosmetics carry forward through prestige resets forever
• Cosmetics earned in one era remain in subsequent eras

3. Economy & Player-Driven Marketplace

Imperium's economy is player-driven. Prices are set by players, not admins. We do not control or fix marketplace prices. Supply and demand determine value.

• Zero pay-to-win: Real money purchases cosmetics only, never gameplay advantages
• Mining payouts scale with rank; private mines earn the same rate as public mines
• Economic inflation is monitored; major changes are voted on by Discord community
• We reserve the right to adjust economy variables to maintain server health

4. Story Choices & Consequences

Your story choices (at ranks 5, 10, 15, 20, 25) are permanent and account-linked. Choosing the Imperial faction locks the Republican faction for that prestige cycle. Choosing Republican locks Imperial. These choices affect cosmetics, story endings, and NPC availability.

• Story is optional; pure grinders can ignore narrative entirely
• Story players earn +20% bonus money
• Choices cannot be reversed within a prestige cycle

5. Anti-Cheat & Bans

Imperium uses a three-layer anti-cheat system: signature verification, prevention rules, and ML-based anomaly detection. Ban appeals are reviewed by staff within 72 hours.

• Temporary ban: 24-72 hours for suspicious activity (false positives reviewed)
• Permanent ban: Confirmed cheating via exploit, modified client, or griefing
• Replay system records all flagged activity for appeals review
• Ban appeals: contact staff in Discord with evidence

6. User-Generated Content & Behavior

By playing Imperium, you agree that:

• No hate speech, slurs, or harassment directed at other players
• No exploiting game mechanics (economy duping, out-of-map glitches)
• No spamming, advertising, or recruiting for other servers in chat
• We reserve the right to mute, kick, or ban for violations

7. Availability & Server Changes

Imperium is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime. Maintenance windows are announced on Discord. We reserve the right to:

• Add, remove, or modify features based on community feedback
• Roll back servers in case of data corruption (rare)
• Adjust economy balancing to maintain server health
• Close the server at any time

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for lost time, lost progress due to server crashes, or economic loss from player trading. Imperium is a game; play at your own risk.
