Economy

Four currencies,
one living empire

A player-driven economy where wealth flows from work, never from wallets. Four distinct currencies, a bank, a trade exchange, taxes, and ninety-eight sinks keep the realm stable and the grind sacred.

The Coinage

The four currencies of Rome

Each coin is earned a different way and spent on different things. None of them can be bought for power.

Denarius

The Coin of the Quarry

The standard silver of daily commerce across the empire. Every block you break and every shift you work in the mines pays out in Denarius, the lifeblood of trade between citizens.

Earned fromMining & manual labour
Spent onTrades, ranks, NPC vendors
  • Earned from mining, dungeon clears, boss drops, and quest bounties
  • Spent on the player marketplace, rank-ups, and NPC vendor shops
  • Taxed at the transaction window, the Treasury takes its cut

Auctoritas

The Weight of Influence

Influence you cannot buy. Auctoritas accrues from mastery of the arcane, enchanting, fusing, and the long grind of prestige, and is spent on the rare cosmetics and unlocks money cannot reach.

Earned fromEnchanting & prestige
Spent onCosmetics, unlocks, fusing
  • Gained by disenchanting gear, completing enchant milestones, and prestiging
  • Spent on cosmetic trails, hats, kill effects, and enchant reagents
  • Untaxed and untradeable, a pure measure of effort, hoarded by the patient

Civitas

The Civic Beacon

The coin of citizenship and contribution. Civitas flows to those who fund their legion and stand for the realm, bankrolling community premiums and weekly legion payouts alike.

Earned fromCrystals & community
Spent onLegions, premiums, payouts
  • Earned from crystal socketing bonuses, legion dues, and civic events
  • Funds your legion treasury and unlocks civic perks & premiums
  • Paid out weekly to active legionnaires as a share of the war chest

Aureus

The Gold of the Store

The premium gold coin of the realm. Aureus is the one currency tied to the store, granted monthly by supporter tiers and spent on crate keys and premium exclusives.

Earned fromStore & milestones
Spent onCrate keys, exclusives
  • Acquired from supporter tiers, milestone achievements, and seasonal events
  • Spent on crate keys across all seven tiers and exclusive premium items
  • Capped in daily purchases to keep the economy fair for free players
How it flows

Faucet to citizen to sink

Every coin enters the world at a faucet, passes through the hands of citizens, and ultimately drains at a sink. That circulation is what keeps the empire solvent.

Faucet

The Faucet

Currency enters the world through honest work, mining, voting, dungeons, bosses, events, and contracts. Each pays in its own coin.

Flow

The Citizen

You hold the balance. Earn, bank, trade, and choose where your wealth flows, the economy is yours to shape.

Sink

The Sink

Wealth leaves the world at the sinks: rank-ups, taxes, crate keys, cosmetics, and the vendor till. What drains keeps inflation in check.

The Institutions

Systems that move the coin

Four pillars structure how wealth is stored, traded, rewarded, and contracted across the realm.

The Bank

Argentaria

The imperial treasury where the prudent grow their wealth and the ambitious borrow against it. Deposit for interest, or take a loan to fund your ascent.

  • Savings vaults pay daily interest on Denarius you lock away
  • Loans front you capital, repaid with interest over time
  • Defaults are tracked, a citizen who owes the Bank cannot rank up

Forum Mercatorum

The Market Square

The great trade exchange at the heart of Rome. A living, player-run marketplace where every price is set by supply and demand, never by the server.

  • List items for sale in Denarius; buyers browse and purchase instantly
  • A live price history tracks the rise and fall of every commodity
  • Transaction tax is collected at the window into the imperial coffers

Voting Rewards

Suffragium

Citizens who cast their vote for the realm are rewarded for their loyalty. Daily voting keeps the server visible and lines your purse in the process.

  • Vote on listing sites each day for a bundle of Denarius and Auctoritas
  • Streak milestones multiply your reward the longer you keep it up
  • Weekly voting leaderboards grant bonus Civitas to the most loyal

Contracts

Pacta

Binding agreements between citizens. Take on a contract to deliver goods, clear a dungeon, or hunt a rival, and be paid handsomely for seeing it through.

  • Daily and weekly contracts pay Denarius and Auctoritas on completion
  • Prestige contracts unlock at higher ranks with far richer rewards
  • Failure forfeits your deposit, the Treasury keeps the stake
The Levy

The tax system

Taxes are not punishment, they are the engine that funds legion payouts and keeps the economy balanced. Every denarius collected is recycled back into the realm.

Wealth Tax

Tiered

A progressive levy on the largest hoards. The wealthiest citizens pay a higher rate, redistributing concentration and keeping the ladder climbable for newcomers.

Transaction Tax

%

A small percentage skimmed from every marketplace sale and secure trade. It flows straight into the imperial treasury to fund legion payouts and event prizes.

The Drains

Wealth must leave the world as surely as it enters. These drains, spanning ten categories, keep the economy from drowning in its own coin.

The Guardrails

Anti-inflation measures

A currency is only worth what it can buy. These mechanisms defend the value of every coin so a denarius earned today still matters tomorrow.

Progressive Wealth Tax

The largest balances bleed the fastest, preventing any single citizen from hoarding the realm into ruin.

Tuned Faucet Rates

Earning rates are balanced against the sinks so currency never floods the market faster than it can drain.

Daily Aureus Caps

Premium coin purchases are capped per day, keeping store-bought wealth from dominating the economy.

Living Sinks

Ninety-eight drains, from rank-ups to cosmetics, constantly pull currency back out of circulation.
