Sarcina Backpack
Your soulbound mining backpack — three Auctoritas upgrade paths for capacity, autosell, and sell multiplier.
The Sarcina is your soulbound mining backpack — a portable inventory that automatically collects every block you break in the mines and sells them for Denarius. It is the single most important tool for income, and it has three upgrade paths that turn it from a 100-block pouch into a self-selling, multiplier-stacked money printer. Every upgrade is paid for in Auctoritas tokens, making the Sarcina the primary token sink in the game.
How the Sarcina Works
When you break a block in a mine, it does not drop into the world. Instead, the Sarcina stores it (up to your current capacity), and the block is later sold for its block value. Selling happens either:
- Manually — type
/sellallto liquidate everything in the Sarcina at once. - Automatically — if you have unlocked autosell, the Sarcina sells on a timer.
- On fill — when you have autosell disabled, a manual sell triggers automatically on a short cooldown once you start accumulating blocks.
Every sell is taxed at 5% (rounded to the cent), which feeds the seasonal tax vault and pays out during festivals. The remaining 95% is deposited as Denarius.
If your Sarcina is full, additional blocks are not destroyed — they drop into the world normally so you (or another player) can pick them up. Upgrading capacity prevents this waste.
The Three Upgrade Paths
The Sarcina has three independent upgrade tracks, each leveled separately. All three are bought with Auctoritas, and all three costs scale exponentially with the level you are buying.
| Path | What it does | Currency |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | Increases how many blocks the Sarcina holds before it is full. | Auctoritas ⛁ |
| Autosell | Sells the Sarcina contents on a timer — eventually instantly. | Auctoritas ⛁ |
| Multiplier | Adds +1% to every sell value, per level. | Auctoritas ⛁ |
Capacity Upgrades
Capacity starts at 100 blocks and doubles every level (100 × 2level). The max level is 60, which means the theoretical capacity ceiling is astronomically high — you will never realistically fill it. The real question is how much Auctoritas you are willing to sink, because the cost scales even harder than the capacity.
The cost formula is 10,000 × 22×(level-1) Auctoritas, with the exponent capped at level 23 (so costs plateau rather than overflowing).
| Capacity level | Blocks held | Cost to reach |
|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | 100 | — (starting) |
| Level 1 | 200 | 10,000 ⛁ |
| Level 2 | 400 | 40,000 ⛁ |
| Level 3 | 800 | 160,000 ⛁ |
| Level 5 | 3,200 | 2,560,000 ⛁ |
| Level 10 | 102,400 | ~2.6B ⛁ |
| Level 20 | ~104.8M | — (capped exp) |
| Level 60 | ~115 quad | — (max level) |
The doubling curve means a few early levels go a very long way. Going from level 3 to level 5 (800 to 3,200 blocks) costs under 3M tokens and effectively removes the "Sarcina full" problem for most mining sessions.
Autosell Upgrades
Autosell is the quality-of-life path. At level 0, you must sell manually with /sellall. Each autosell level halves the sell interval, starting from 5 minutes (6,000 ticks) at level 1. At level 10, the interval drops below the threshold and sells become instant — every block you mine is liquidated the moment it enters the Sarcina.
The cost formula is 50,000 × 2(level-1) Auctoritas (doubling each level), with the exponent capped at level 41.
| Autosell level | Sell interval | Cost to reach |
|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | Disabled (manual /sellall) | — |
| Level 1 | 5 min | 50,000 ⛁ |
| Level 2 | 2.5 min | 100,000 ⛁ |
| Level 3 | 75 sec | 200,000 ⛁ |
| Level 5 | ~19 sec | 800,000 ⛁ |
| Level 8 | ~2.3 sec | 6.4M ⛁ |
| Level 9 | ~1.1 sec | 12.8M ⛁ |
| Level 10 | Instant | 25.6M ⛁ |
Instant autosell (level 10) is the breakpoint. It costs about 25.6M Auctoritas total to reach, but it eliminates the entire "stop to sell" loop from your mining workflow — you can mine indefinitely without ever touching a key.
Sell Multiplier Upgrades
The multiplier path is the pure income boost. Each level adds +1% to the value of every sell, applied as 1 + (level × 0.01). It stacks multiplicatively with your rank, prestige, booster, and pipeline multipliers — so a +10% Sarcina multiplier on top of a 5× rank multiplier is genuinely +10% of the boosted total.
The cost formula is 10,000 × 2(level-1) Auctoritas.
| Multiplier level | Sell bonus | Cost to reach |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | +1% | 10,000 ⛁ |
| Level 2 | +2% | 20,000 ⛁ |
| Level 5 | +5% | 160,000 ⛁ |
| Level 10 | +10% | ~5.1M ⛁ |
| Level 20 | +20% | ~5.2B ⛁ |
How the Sell Is Calculated
When the Sarcina sells (manually or automatically), here is the full calculation:
- Sum block values. Every block in the Sarcina is multiplied by its unit value, and the totals are summed.
- Apply the Sarcina multiplier.
1 + (multiplier_level × 0.01). - Apply the mine fortune multiplier. If you have a mine upgrade fortune bonus, it multiplies in here.
- Apply the economy pipeline. Your rank, prestige, pets, boosters, and event multipliers all fold in via the EconomyModifierPipeline.
- Apply the 5% tax.
tax = gross × 0.05(rounded to the cent), which is contributed to the server tax pool. You receivegross − tax. - Deposit. The net amount is credited as Denarius with the reason
backpack:sell(orbackpack:sell_explicitfor manual sells).
After a manual sell, you will see a boost summary line breaking down your total sell multiplier: Sell Boost: +X% (Sarcina +Y% | Prestige +Z% | Rank +W%). Use it to decide which multiplier to invest in next.
Block Values
Every mineable block has a Denarius value set per-mine in the mine configuration. Rarer ores (diamond, emerald, ancient debris) are worth dramatically more than common stone. Because the Sarcina sells blocks at their full configured value, mining high-value ores with a high multiplier is where the real money is. See the Mining guide for the block-value reference and the PVP Mine for the richest ores.
The Sarcina Item
The Sarcina also exists as a physical Ender Chest item in your inventory. If you do not have one, it can be re-granted; right-clicking it opens the backpack view. The item is tagged with your UUID, so it is effectively soulbound — another player cannot use your Sarcina item to access your blocks.
The 60-Second Mining Summary
Every 60 seconds while mining, the Sarcina sends you a compact summary of the last minute's activity, including blocks broken, total Denarius earned (split into mine income vs enchant income), Auctoritas tokens, crystals, Civitas, crates opened, and pouches used. Use it to compare mining spots and tune your build.
Upgrade Priority
A recommended order for spending Auctoritas on the Sarcina:
- Capacity to level 3–5 first. Cheap, and it removes the "Sarcina full" interruptions that kill your mining flow.
- Autosell to level 3–5. A 1–2 minute sell interval is enough to never manually sell again during normal mining.
- Multiplier to level 5. A flat +5% on every sell pays back fast once you are mining high-value ores.
- Push autosell toward level 10 (instant). This is the long-term goal — ~25.6M tokens, but it transforms mining into a pure block-breaking exercise.
- Capacity and multiplier to taste. Past the breakpoints above, both are diminishing-returns grinds for endgame token hoarders.
