Ranks & Prestige
Climb the cursus honorum from Proletarius to Summus Deus across 100 ranks and 25 prestiges.
Ranks are the main way you progress in Imperium. You start at Rank 1 and climb to Rank 100. Each rank gives you better mines, a bigger sell multiplier, and a new Roman title. When you hit Rank 100, you can prestige for permanent bonuses and start over even stronger.
How to Rank Up
- Mine blocks and sell them to earn Denarius. (
/minesthen/sellall) - Type
/rankto see your current rank, the next rank, and how much it costs. - When you can afford it, type
/rankup. - Your rank goes up by one. Repeat.
Example: You are Rank 1 (Proletarius). /rank shows the next rank is Rank 2, cost 650 Denarius. Mine and sell until you have 650, type /rankup, and you are now Rank 2 (Captivus).
What Each Rank Gives You
Every rank you gain makes you stronger in several ways:
| Perk | How it grows |
|---|---|
| Better mines unlocked | Mine N unlocks at Rank N. Higher mines have richer ores. |
| Higher sell multiplier | Each rank adds about +1.5% to all mined-block income. Rank 100 = 2.49x sell multiplier. |
| Stronger enchants available | Some enchants only unlock at higher ranks. |
| New Roman title | Every rank has a unique title shown next to your name. |
The 100 Ranks and Their Titles
Ranks follow the Roman cursus honorum — the historical ladder of Roman political offices. Your title changes as you climb.
| Ranks | Tier | Theme |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10 | Plebeian | The common citizen (Proletarius, Servus, Plebeius, Miles...) |
| 11–25 | Military Career | The soldier's path (Gregarius, Centurio, Tribunus, Legatus...) |
| 26–40 | Early Magistrates | The Quaestor path (Quaestor, Aedilis, Praetor...) |
| 41–60 | Consular Path | The Senator (Senator, Censor, Consul, Proconsul...) |
| 51–60 | Triumviral Path | The Powers (Triumvir, Pontifex, Augur, Rex Sacrorum) |
| 61–80 | Imperial Court | The Emperor's court (Comes, Magister, Praefectus, Dux, Caesar) |
| 81–95 | Imperial Ascension | The Augustus (Augustus, Pater Patriae, Princeps, Dominus, Divus) |
| 96–100 | Mythic Ascension | The Apotheosis (Divi Filius, Semideus, Divus Maximus) |
You do not need to memorize these — they appear automatically as you rank up.
Rank milestones (server-wide broadcasts)
When you first reach certain ranks, the whole server sees a broadcast:

| Rank 50 | Diamond Ore unlocks. |

| Rank 75 | End materials unlock. |
| Rank 100 | The final rank. You receive 3 Nether Stars and can now prestige. |

/rankskip — Skip Ranks Instantly (Aureus)
If you do not want to grind every single rank, you can skip ahead using Aureus (the premium currency).
- Type
/rankskipto instantly rank up using Aureus instead of Denarius. - There is a 30-second cooldown between skips.
- The cost scales with your current rank.
This is a paid shortcut. You earn Aureus from voting, crates, and the store. Most players save it for big jumps.

| Rank 1 → 60 | About a month |
