Party System
Team up with up to seven other players for shared PvP, mining, and a private party chat channel.
A party is a temporary group of up to eight players who want to play together without the commitment of a legion. Parties get a private chat channel, make coordination for PvP and events trivial, and dissolve automatically when the leader logs off or disbands. They are the lighter-weight cousin to legions — think of a legion as a guild you belong to permanently, and a party as the squad you form for tonight's KOTH.
Creating & Joining
Anyone can start a party. Run /party create [name] and you instantly become the leader of a new party (optionally named). From there, invite players with /party invite <player> — they get a prompt and join with /party accept <player>. Parties cap at eight members total (leader plus seven), which matches the largest group most PvP modes can usefully coordinate.
Parties are distinct from legions in every way: parties are short-lived and leader-run, legions are persistent and rank-structured. You can be in a legion and a party at the same time — most active PvPers are.
Party Chat
Parties have a private chat channel. Prefix your message with @p (or use the configured party-chat toggle) and only party members see it. This is invaluable in PvP — calling targets, warning about flanks, or coordinating a retreat without spamming public chat or alerting enemies. Party chat is clearly tagged so you always know which channel a message came from.
Why Form a Party?
| Activity | Why a party helps |
|---|---|
| PvP (KOTH, CTF, PVP Mine) | Private target-calling and positioning chat without broadcasting to enemies. |
| Bosses & Boss Arena | Coordinate damage phases, add control, and healer assignments. |
| Group mining | Stay together in a public mine, share warps, and chat without scrolling global. |
| Events | Most server events are team-based; a pre-formed party has a huge coordination advantage. |
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/party create [name] | Create a new party; you become the leader. Optional custom name. |
/party invite <player> | Invite a player to your party. They must /party accept. |
/party accept <player> | Accept a pending party invite. |
/party leave | Leave your current party. The leader leaving disbands the party. |
/party info | Show your party — leader, members, and any pending invites. |
/party disband | Leader: disband the party and kick everyone. |
/party kick <player> | Leader: remove a member from the party. |
/party transfer <player> | Leader: hand leadership to another member. |
Tips
- Make a party before queuing for events. A pre-formed party enters CTF and team modes together; random queues split you up.
- Use party chat in PvP. Public chat reveals your position and intentions — party chat keeps comms private.
- Designate a leader. Even informally, having one player call targets makes a party far more effective than eight people freelancing.
- Disband when done. Parties linger until the leader disbands or logs off; clean up after an event so invites don't get confused.
- Transfer leadership if you leave.
/party transferkeeps the party alive if you have to log out mid-session.
