Legions
Join or found a guild for permanent boosters, a shared vault, and weekly Aureus payouts.
A Legion is a guild - a group of players who work together. Joining a Legion gives you permanent boosters, a shared vault, private warps, and a shot at weekly Aureus payouts.
What Legions Are
A Legion is a player-run group (like a clan or guild in other games). Members of the same Legion:
- Get permanent boosters to mining, money, tokens, PVP, and more.
- Share a Legion vault (a shared chest).
- Can set Legion warps to fast-travel as a group.
- Compete for weekly Aureus payouts based on their Civitas contribution.
- Can declare allies and rivals and fight scheduled Legion wars.
How to Create a Legion
- You need 50,000 Civitas (the red beacon currency).
- Type
/legion create <name>. - Your Legion is created and you become its Leader.
Legion name rules
- 3 to 16 characters.
- Letters, numbers, and underscores only.
- No offensive or staff-impersonating names (admin, owner, mod, etc. are blocked).
You can rename your Legion later for 100,000 Civitas.
How to Join a Legion
If you do not want to make your own, you can join someone else's.
- Ask a Legion officer or leader to invite you (use chat or Discord).
- They type
/legion invite <your-name>. - You accept the invite (you have 60 seconds before it expires).
- You are now a member.
Type /legion any time to open the Legion menu and see your Legion's info, members, vault, and upgrades.
Legion Ranks
Every Legion has 5 ranks, each with different permissions:
| Rank | Symbol | Key powers |
|---|---|---|
| Recruit | [RECRUIT] | Chat, vault access, use warps |
| Member | [MEMBER] | Same as Recruit |
| Officer | [OFFICER] | + Invite, kick, set warps, buy upgrades, announce |
| Co-Leader | [CO-LEADER] | + Promote/demote, manage allies and enemies |
| Leader | [LEADER] | Full control: disband, rename, transfer ownership |
The Leader promotes and demotes members. Be active and helpful to climb the ranks.
Legion Upgrades
This is the main reason to be in a Legion. The Leader (and officers) can buy permanent boosters that apply to every member of the Legion.
Upgrades are bought with Civitas and have multiple levels.
The most popular upgrades
| Upgrade | Max Level | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Beacon Boost | 25 | +10% Civitas collection rate per level (for all members) |
| Member Slots | 20 | +5 member slots per level |
| Vault Pages | 15 | +2 shared vault pages per level |
| Mining Boost | 20 | +15% mining speed and drops per level |
| Money Boost | 20 | +15% all money earned per level |
| Token Boost | 20 | +12% Auctoritas rewards per level |
| XP Multiplier | 15 | +25% all XP gains per level |
| PVP Boost | 20 | +20% PVP damage and victory rewards per level |
| Auto Sell Boost | 15 | +12% auto-sell prices per level |
| Health Boost | 20 | +12% max health and regen per level |
| Strength Boost | 20 | +16% attack damage per level |
| Defense Boost | 20 | +14% damage reduction per level |
| Ore Generation | 10 | +20% ore generation in mines per level |
| Shop Discount | 10 | -10% shop prices per level |
| Prestige Boost | 10 | +15% prestige point gains per level |
A fully-upgraded Legion makes every member dramatically stronger. This is why being in an active Legion matters so much.
Legion Wars (Allies and Rivals)
Legions can form political relationships with each other. This is where the social meta of Imperium lives - alliances, rivalries, and scheduled wars.
Allies
- Up to 2 allies per Legion.
- Both Legions must approve the alliance (
/legion ally <legion>). - Alliances can be broken at any time by either side (with a 24-hour cooldown on diplomacy changes).
Rivals
- Up to 3 rivals per Legion.
- Declaring a rival with
/legion enemy <legion>marks a rivalry that lasts at least 7 days. - Rivalry pays: killing a rival's member in the PVP Mine earns a +25% Auctoritas bonus on the kill (never stacked beyond one relation).
The Standard - the scheduled war
Rivalries feed The Standard, Imperium's scheduled legion-vs-legion war event. Legions sign up (/legion war signup), pick a war role (Vanguard for damage, Skirmisher for speed, Standard Bearer to flip zones faster), and the matched legions fight a 30-minute war over control zones and a relic:
- Wars need at least 5 signed-up members per side (and a cap on ringers).
- Deserting a live war locks you out for 10 minutes.
- Track standings with
/legion war standings.
How war score is earned
| Action | War score |
|---|---|
| Hold a control zone | +10 war score per 10 seconds held |
| Kill an enemy in the war | +5 war score |
| Carry the relic | +25 war score |
| Tie at the buzzer | Sudden-death relic race (5 minutes, relic carries only) |
War outcomes
| Outcome | What it means |
|---|---|
| Victory (highest war score) | The win on the standings board - and the rivalry kill bonus that follows. |
| Draw after sudden death | Tie-break by the relic race; the war itself is low-stakes by design. |
| Defeat | No permanent penalty - sign up again next week. |
Strategy: zone control is the reliable path - 10 points every 10 seconds of an uncontested hold compounds fast. Keep a Standard Bearer on each zone and your slayers hunting relic carriers.
Outposts - the standing capture zones
Outside the war schedule, two outposts stand on the map: the Denarius Outpost and the Auctoritas Outpost. A legion that stands in the capture zone for 5 minutes takes it, and every member earns +5% money or +5% tokens respectively for as long as the legion holds it. Use /outpost to check who holds what.
Legion Projects
Beyond the permanent upgrade tree, Legions can pool resources into projects - one-time builds that grant lasting member-wide perks. Any member can contribute Civitas; Officers approve and place the build. Twelve projects ship in four tiers (costs as of Sept 2026):
| Project | Tier | Cost | Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minor Basilica | 1 | 5,000 ⬡ | +2% Denarius for all members. |
| Minor Aqueduct | 1 | 5,000 ⬡ | +5% pickaxe XP for all members. |
| Training Grounds | 1 | 7,500 ⬡ | +2% enchant proc rate for all members. |
| Grand Basilica | 2 | 25,000 ⬡ | +5% Denarius for all members. |
| Grand Aqueduct | 2 | 25,000 ⬡ | +10% pickaxe XP for all members. |
| Gladiator School | 2 | 30,000 ⬡ | +5% PvP damage for all members. |
| Treasury Vault | 2 | 20,000 ⬡ | +50% legion bank capacity. |
| Imperial Forum | 3 | 100,000 ⬡ | +10% Denarius for all members. |
| Triumphal Arch | 3 | 150,000 ⬡ | +10% ALL currency for all members. |
| The Pantheon | 3 | 250,000 ⬡ | +15% XP and +10% enchant proc. |
| Colossus of Rhodes | 3 | 500,000 ⬡ | +20% Denarius for all members. |
| Mount Olympus | 4 | 1,000,000 ⬡ | +15% ALL currency, +15% XP, +10% proc. |
Contribute and track projects from /legion project. Projects are permanent legion assets - they do not reset at payout.
Weekly Payouts (Aureus)
Every Sunday at 6:00 PM, the top Legions get paid in Aureus based on their total Civitas for the week.
| Legion Rank | Aureus Reward |
|---|---|
| 1st | 100 Aureus |
| 2nd | 75 Aureus |
| 3rd | 50 Aureus |
| 4th | 25 Aureus |
| 5th | 10 Aureus |
The payout is split among members based on their rank in the Legion:
| Legion rank | Share multiplier |
|---|---|
| Leader | 2.0x |
| Co-Leader | 1.5x |
| Officer | 1.0x |
| Member | 0.75x |
| Recruit | 0.5x |
After payout, all Civitas totals reset for the next week (but your upgrades stay). So it is a fresh race every week.
Legion Features
Shared Vault
- A chest every member can access.
- Starts at 3 pages, upgrades to 10 pages.
- Use it to share items, gear, and loot.
Legion Warps
- Up to 10 warps per Legion.
- Members can teleport to any Legion warp instantly with
/legion warp <name>. - Officers and above set warps with
/legion setwarp <name>and delete them with/legion delwarp <name>. - Warps are how a Legion rallies - set one at each territory node, the legion vault, and a PVP-mine entrance so members can converge fast.
Warps share the same combat-tag rules as normal teleports: you cannot warp while combat-tagged, so plan your escape before a fight starts.
Legion Home
- A single home base for the whole Legion.
- Members can teleport there with a short delay.
Legion Chat
- Type in Legion chat to talk only to your Legion.
- Separate from public chat. Toggle it on/off in the Legion menu.
Tips for Legions
- Join a Legion early. Even a small Legion's boosters are better than none.
- Contribute Civitas. The more you mine, the more Civitas your Legion earns, which funds upgrades.
- Active Legions win payouts. The weekly Aureus race rewards consistent mining.
- Be a good member. Officers and Leaders promote helpful, active players.
- Use the shared vault to pass gear to newer members.
- Coordinate wars on Discord. A coordinated Legion destroys a disorganized one.
