Nuke

Vesuvius — a passive area-break on every swing; its unreachable level-1000 form wipes and resets the whole mine.

Nuke - known in-game as Vesuvius - is the legendary EXPLOSIONS-category mining enchant that turns every swing into a blast. It is a passive area-break: each block you break also destroys a sphere of blocks around it, with the radius growing as you level the enchant. At its unreachable true maximum, the sphere becomes the entire mine - plus a full reset. Long-session miners covet it because it multiplies every other enchant's per-block payouts.

Nuke is covered alongside the other area-clearers on the Mining Enchants page. This spotlight covers its mechanics, cost math, and strategy.

Heads-up on the tooltip: the in-game description ("0.002% per level, full mine reset on proc") describes the original design. What the code actually does (verified Sept 2026) is the passive area-break above - no proc roll, it fires on every break, with the full wipe+reset reserved for level 1000.

The Blast

Nuke has no proc chance - it is always on. On every block you break, Vesuvius additionally destroys the blocks in a sphere whose radius is level ÷ 20, capped at 8:

LevelBlast radiusBlocks touched per break (approx.)
201~7
603~120
1206~900
150 (shop cap)7~1,400
160+8 (hard cap)~2,100
1000 (true max)Entire mineWipe + reset

The extra breaks are batched across ticks (roughly 200 blocks per tick) so even a radius-8 blast cannot freeze the server, and every destroyed block pays out through your money, token, and Civitas enchants exactly as if you had swung at it yourself.

At level 1000 the enchant stops being a sphere entirely: the whole mine is cleared and reset with a server-announced "NUKE DETONATED". The shop caps purchases at 150, so level 1000 is a trophy ceiling, not a realistic build target.

How to Obtain Nuke

Nuke requires Prestige 8 + Rank 87 to buy or apply.

Cost Math

Nuke scales polynomially: each level costs 50,000 × level1.2 Auctoritas. Early levels are cheap; the curve steepens toward the 150 shop cap:

MilestonePer-level costApprox. cumulative
Level 150,00050,000
Level 10~792,000~2.1M
Level 50~5.3M~83M
Level 100~12.6M~420M
Level 150 (cap)~20.9M~1.4B

Even a modest Nuke level multiplies your per-break payouts noticeably. Most players stop in the 60-120 range and invest the rest in income enchants.

Strategy

  1. Stack income enchants first. Nuke clears blocks; your money and token enchants decide what each cleared block pays. Neither is impressive alone.
  2. Best in rich, dense mines. A radius-7 sphere only earns what the ore around you is worth - run Vesuvius where the block table is expensive.
  3. Combine with Jackhammer. Jackhammer clears whole layers; Nuke chews spheres around every break. Together they turn a single swing into most of a layer.
  4. Keep your Sarcina big. Area breaks fill the backpack fast - pair Nuke with capacity upgrades or /sellall discipline.
  5. Treat the radius cap as the real finish line. Radius caps at 8 (level 160); beyond that you are buying almost nothing until the unreachable level-1000 wipe.
