Nuke
Vesuvius — a 2%-cap proc that triggers a full mine reset, refilling the entire mine instantly.
Nuke — known in-game as Vesuvius — is the legendary mining enchant whose proc does not clear blocks: it triggers a full mine reset, refilling the entire mine to 100% instantly. On a chance-based proc, the mine you are standing in is regenerated on the spot, so you never run out of ore. Long-session miners covet it for exactly this reason.
Nuke is covered alongside the other area-clearers on the Mining Enchants page. This spotlight covers its mechanics, cost math, and strategy.

The Reset Proc
Nuke is unique: it pays no currency on its proc. Instead, the proc regenerates the mine you are in to its fully-filled state, exactly as if a /mines admin reset had fired. The proc chance is 0.00002 × level, capped at 2%:
| Level | Proc chance |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.002% |
| 100 | 0.2% |
| 500 | 1.0% |
| 1000 (cap) | 2.0% |
The value of Nuke is uptime: a mine that would normally wait for a depletion/timed reset is refilled the moment you start running low. For a single dedicated miner, a high-level Nuke means you effectively never have to leave a rich mine.
The reset runs through FastAsyncWorldEdit off the main thread, so even a full 100×100×50 rebuild does not freeze the server. You may see a brief visual pop as the ore body regenerates — that is normal.
How to Obtain Nuke
Nuke requires Prestige 8 + Rank 55 to buy or apply.
- Enchant books — the intended path. Level-1 books drop from legendary/mythic crates and trade on the Auction House. Fuse two same-level books for +1.
- The
/enchantmenu — buy directly with Auctoritas. The 50,000 base cost is the lowest of the legendary mining enchants, reflecting that Nuke pays no currency directly.
Cost Math
Nuke scales like Jackhammer (linear-ish per level). Because the proc only resets the mine rather than paying out, the cost curve is the gentlest of the legendaries:
| Milestone | Approx. cumulative cost |
|---|---|
| Level 10 (~0.02% proc) | ~500k Auctoritas |
| Level 100 (0.2% proc) | ~5M Auctoritas |
| Level 500 (1.0% proc) | ~25M Auctoritas |
| Level 1000 (2.0% cap) | ~50M+ Auctoritas |
Even a modest Nuke level is enough to noticeably extend a mining session. Most players stop around level 100–300 and invest the rest in income enchants.
Strategy
- Do not pair with Supernova or Cosmic Storm. A reset scatters the ore body, so a pending Supernova or Cosmic Storm cooldown can fire on freshly-generated (and sometimes lower-value) blocks. Run Nuke or the burst enchants, not both.
- Best in rich, fast-depleting mines. Mines with pure-ore block tables deplete quickly; Nuke keeps them full so you mine uninterrupted for your whole session.
- Combine with Jackhammer. Jackhammer clears whole layers; Nuke refills them. Together they turn a single mine into an infinite ore fountain.
- Treat low levels as a convenience, not income. Nuke at level 10 fires rarely, but even occasional refills save you the trip back to spawn and the wait for a timed reset.
