Outposts

Two capturable zones that grant a permanent +5% money or +5% tokens to the holding legion — hold by presence.

Outposts are two capturable zones on the map that grant a permanent economy boost to the legion that holds them. One boosts Denarius, the other boosts Auctoritas — and every member of the controlling legion enjoys the bonus while it is held, anywhere on the server. Capturing an outpost is a pure numbers game: enough of your legion's members have to stand inside the capture zone, uncontested, for five minutes straight. It is the single most lucrative territory objective for an active legion.

The Two Outposts

There are exactly two outposts in the world, each tied to a different currency. Their locations are set by staff (and shown via /outpost info), and they persist permanently — the holding legion is saved to disk, so a server restart never resets ownership.

OutpostBoost while heldBossBar color
Denarius Outpost+5% money (sell multiplier) for all legion membersGold
Auctoritas Outpost+5% tokens for all legion membersPurple

The boost is legion-wide and passive. If your legion holds the Denarius Outpost, every single member gets +5% on every sell — even members who never set foot near the outpost. You do not need to be online, in the zone, or even in the same world as the outpost to benefit.

How Capture Works

Outposts are captured by presence, not by combat. The system ticks once per second and counts how many players from each legion are standing inside the capture radius (5 blocks from the outpost center). The rules are simple but strict:

  1. One legion in the zone — capture progress ticks up by 1 per second. A BossBar at the top of every zone-occupant's screen shows the live progress out of 300 seconds.
  2. The holding legion is in the zone — progress snaps to full (300/300). The holder defends simply by being present.
  3. Two or more legions in the zone — the zone is contested. Capture progress ticks down by 1 per second. Nobody can capture while enemies are present.
  4. Players with no legion in the zone — progress ticks down by 1 per second. Loners interfere with capture just by standing there.
  5. The zone is empty — progress ticks down by 2 per second. An abandoned capture attempt decays fast.

When the progress bar fills to 300/300 seconds, the outpost flips. The whole server is broadcast: "Outpost <name> captured by <legion>!" followed by the boost line, and (if there was a previous holder) "Legion <old> has lost <name>!". Every player online hears the challenge-complete fanfare.

Capture Strategy

Because progress only ticks up when exactly one legion is present, capturing is as much about clearing enemies as it is about filling the zone. A single defending enemy legion member — or even a legion-less bystander — is enough to stall or reverse your progress. This makes outposts a tug-of-war that rewards coordinated legion activity over raw numbers.

The capture zones are not PvP-safe by default — check the server rules for whether combat is allowed at outposts. Even without PvP, a defending legion can stall a capture indefinitely just by keeping one member in the zone.

The 300-second (5-minute) capture window is long enough that a defender has time to respond to a capture attempt. A legion that wants to take an outpost should expect to commit multiple members for the full duration, plus have others ready to chase off any interfering players.

Holding & Defending

Once captured, the outpost belongs to your legion until someone else captures it. There is no timed lease and no decay — hold it forever if you can defend it. The single most effective defense is presence: as long as one of your legion members stands in the zone, progress snaps to full and no one else can start a capture.

This makes outposts a long-term strategic asset. A legion that can keep even one member AFK in each outpost can lock down both boosts indefinitely, funneling a permanent +5% money and +5% tokens to every member. Rival legions then have to organize a coordinated push to clear the defenders and start their own capture.

Checking Outpost Status

Run /outpost info (as a player) to see the current state of both outposts: which legion holds each one, the boost it provides, and the outpost's world coordinates. The BossBar at the top of your screen only appears when you are physically inside a capture zone, so /outpost info is how you check status from anywhere.

Tips

  1. Stack the boosts. Holding both outposts gives your legion +5% money and +5% tokens simultaneously — a permanent edge on every member's income.
  2. Defend by presence. One member standing in the zone locks the outpost at full progress. An AFK defender is the cheapest possible defense.
  3. Coordinate captures. Five minutes is a long time — bring enough members to clear the zone and hold it for the full duration.
  4. Watch for contesters. A single enemy (or even a legion-less player) in the zone stalls your capture. Clear them before you commit to a push.
  5. Combine with the PVP Mine. If your legion dominates PvP, you can usually clear an outpost zone long enough to capture or defend it.
  6. Check /outpost info before a raid. Knowing the holder and the coordinates lets your legion plan the push instead of wandering the map.
  7. The boost is worth fighting for. For a high-earning legion, +5% on all money and tokens adds up to far more than the cost of the members needed to hold the outposts.
