PvP
Risk it all in the PVP Mine for the richest ores, killstreaks, and bounties.
PvP (player vs player combat) is optional but rewarding. The main attraction is the PVP Mine — a special mine with the richest ores in the game, but other players can kill you and steal your spot.
The PVP Mine (High Risk, High Reward)
The PVP Mine is a single shared mine where PvP is always on. The blocks here are far more valuable than any normal mine:
| Block | Value (Denarius) |
|---|---|
| Netherite Block | 50,000 |
| Ancient Debris | 30,000 |
| Diamond Block | 20,000 |
| Emerald Block | 15,000 |
| Deepslate Diamond Ore | 12,000 |
| Gold Block | 10,000 |
| Iron Block | 5,000 |
A single trip can earn you a fortune — but anyone can attack you while you mine. If you die, you lose your spot and the killer gets rewarded.
How to get there
- Use
/menuor look for the PVP Mine warp at spawn. - You need at least 1 hour of playtime before you can enter PVP.
Combat Tagging
When you hit another player (or they hit you), you become combat tagged for a short time.
- While combat-tagged, you cannot teleport, use /home, or run to a safe zone.
- The point is to stop people from attacking and then instantly escaping.
- A timer shows on your screen. Wait it out before trying to leave.
If you log out while combat-tagged, you may be killed where you stand. Do not log out mid-fight.
Kill Rewards and Bounties
Kill rewards
When you kill another player, you earn rewards:
- +100 Auctoritas tokens per kill.
- The victim loses 50 Auctoritas tokens.
Milestone bonuses
Reach kill milestones for bonus rewards:
| Kills | Reward |
|---|---|
| 10 kills | +500 Auctoritas |
| 50 kills | +2,000 Auctoritas |
Bounties
Place a bounty on another player with /bounty. Anyone who kills the target claims the bounty. Great for rivalries and PVP events.
- Open
/bountyto see active bounties. - Place one with
/bounty <player> <amount>. - Top bounty hunters can make serious money.
/pvpmode — Choose Your Combat Style
Different players like different combat feels. Imperium lets each player choose between two styles:
| Mode | How it feels |
|---|---|
| 1.8 (legacy) | No attack cooldown. Click as fast as you want, every hit does full damage. "Spam-click" combat. |
| 1.9 (modern) | Vanilla cooldown bar. Charge up your sword for full damage. The default Minecraft feel. |
How to switch
/pvpmode— See your current mode./pvpmode 1.8— Switch to no-cooldown combat./pvpmode 1.9— Switch to cooldown combat./pvpmode toggle— Flip between the two.
Your choice is saved and reapplied every time you log in, respawn, or change worlds. Set it once and forget it.
Killstreaks
Chain kills without dying to build a killstreak. The higher your streak, the more attention you draw — and the better your rewards.
- Use
/killstreakto see your current and best streaks. - Long streaks may trigger server-wide announcements.
Safe Zones
Not everywhere is dangerous. Safe zones are areas where PVP is disabled and you cannot be attacked.
- Spawn (Rome) is always a safe zone.
- Most public mines are safe.
- The PVP Mine is the main place where PVP is on.
If you are being chased, run to a safe zone — but remember, combat tagging blocks teleporting. You have to walk out.
Tips for PvP
- Bring a PVP kit. Type
/kitand claim the Gladiator's Kit for free netherite armor and a sword. You will not lose your mining gear this way. - Travel light. Do not bring your best pickaxe to the PVP mine unless you are willing to risk it.
- Watch your back. Other players will wait until your inventory is full of valuable ores to attack.
- Use abilities. Combat abilities like War Cry (+25% damage) and Shield Bash (knockback) can turn a fight.
- Team up. Go with friends or legion-mates. Numbers win fights.
- Set your /pvpmode to whatever feels best for you. Most veterans prefer 1.8 for fast clicking.
