Pyrobolus Bombs

Twenty throwables from Legionary’s Charge to Caesar’s Triumph — blast radius × reward multiplier, bought with tokens or Denarius.

Pyrobolus are Roman throwing bombs — one throw clears a sphere of blocks around the impact and pays out every block at a reward multiplier. Twenty bombs span five categories: Mining (raw block clearing), Auctoritas,Denarius, and Civitas (currency-tinted blasts), plus aSpecial line of exotic effects.

Every bomb has a blast radius and a reward multiplier applied to the blocks it destroys. Bombs are upgraded in levels (raising radius and multiplier) with per-bomb upgrade costs, and every throw shares a 30-second global cooldown.

"tokens" = Auctoritas, "$" = Denarius. All values are the base (level-1) stats; upgrades raise radius and multiplier per bomb.

Choosing Bombs

  • Early: Legionary's Charge (500 tokens) is the cheapest way to blast-mine — upgrade it before buying wider bombs.
  • Volume mining: Vulcan's Fury (10-block radius) clears the most blocks per throw; pair it with a high Sarcina so nothing spills.
  • Money bombs: Midas' Touch (5×) and Croesus' Hoard (10× on a compact 2-radius) turn bombs into a Denarius engine — small radius, huge multiplier.
  • Endgame flex: Caesar's Triumph combines a 12-block radius with a 3.5× multiplier — the biggest single throw in the game.

The 30-second cooldown is global, not per bomb — chaining different bombs does not bypass it. Plan throws around mine resets for maximum value.

Using Them

  2. Bombs are physical itemsright-click one in your inventory (or hotbar) to throw it. The blast clears a sphere of blocks and pays the reward multiplier on every block consumed.
  3. Upgrade with /pyrobolus upgrade <type> — each level adds +1 blast radius (and more multiplier) up to the bomb's max level.
  4. Check your level, radius, and cooldown any time with /pyrobolus info <type>.
