Combat Enchants
Every PVP/Chaos enchant — mine bombs, shrapnel, soul drain, predators, reapers, and the gladiator kit for the PVP Mine.
Combat enchants (the CHAOS category) are the pickaxe enchants that only activate inside the PVP Mine. They turn your mining pickaxe into a weapon — spawning explosions near enemies, dealing AoE damage, inflicting Wither, combat-tagging fleeing players, stealing their money, and earning bonus income while in active combat. Every combat enchant is bought from the /enchant menu under the CHAOS tab.
Combat enchants only fire in the PVP Mine region. In normal public mines they do nothing — they occupy a slot but never proc. This means a pickaxe stacked with combat enchants is a dedicated PVP Mine pickaxe, not a general-purpose one. Most players keep combat enchants on a secondary pickaxe or accept the wasted slots in normal mines in exchange for PVP Mine dominance.
This is the complete reference for every CHAOS-category enchant. For the broader PVP systems — combat tagging, kill rewards, bounties, killstreaks, ELO — see PvP and PvP Complete Guide.
How to Read These Tables
Each row gives the Roman name, config id, max level, proc chance at max (or Passive), the base Auctoritas cost for level 1, the prestige / rank gate, and the effect. Damage numbers are in hearts (1 heart = 2 HP in vanilla terms unless noted). "In combat" means while you are actively engaged with another player (combat-tagged).
Combat enchants scale with both level and combat activity. The passive income enchants (Predator, War Miner, Blood Lust) only pay their bonus while you are in combat — so they reward aggressive play in the PVP Mine, not passive mining.
Offensive Procs — Damage & Explosions
The aggressive combat enchants. Legionary Bomb (Mine Bomb) is the workhorse — a 60% proc at max level that spawns an explosion near a random enemy in range, available from Rank 1. Onager Shrapnel deals AoE damage to clusters of enemies. Core of Vulcan is the prestige-8 nuke — a 5% proc dealing 5 + 0.5 × level damage to everyone within 10 blocks. Touch of Mors inflicts Wither, the deadliest debuff.
Two enchants here — Retiarius Net and Gladiator's Roar — are combat-income procs: they pay 5–6× block value when foes are near, blending offense with economy.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legionary Bomb | mine_bomb | 50 | 2%/lvl (60%) | 25,000 ⛁ | 0 / 1 | Spawns an explosion near a random enemy in range. |
| Onager Shrapnel | shrapnel | 75 | 1.5%/lvl (50%) | 20,000 ⛁ | 1 / 10 | Deals 1 + 0.1 × level damage to all nearby enemies. |
| Core of Vulcan | nuclear_core | 25 | 0.2%/lvl (5%) | 100,000 ⛁ | 8 / 55 | Inferno deals 5 + 0.5 × level damage to all within 10 blocks. |
| Touch of Mors | reaper_touch | 25 | 0.3%/lvl (7.5%) | 80,000 ⛁ | 8 / 60 | Inflicts Wither on all enemies within 6 blocks. |
| Retiarius Net | retiarius_net | 100 | 1.5%/lvl | 10,000 ⛁ | 1 / 8 | Proc pays 5× block value when foes are near. |
| Gladiator's Roar | gladiators_roar | 100 | 1.3%/lvl | 10,000 ⛁ | 1 / 8 | Proc pays 6× block value when foes are near. |
Core of Vulcan at max level (25) deals 5 + 12.5 = 17.5 damage (about 17 hearts) to everyone within 10 blocks on a 5% proc. In a crowded PVP Mine this is a team wipe waiting to happen — but the 100,000-token base cost and prestige-8 gate make it a true endgame weapon.
Control — Combat Tag & Soul Drain
Shackle of the Damned (Prisoner Tag) combat-tags every player within 4 + 0.1 × level blocks — preventing logout/teleport escape and keeping them in the fight.Charon's Toll (Soul Drain) is the economic weapon: it steals $500 × level from the nearest enemy on proc, transferring their Denarius directly to you.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shackle of the Damned | prisoner_tag | 50 | 2%/lvl (50%) | 30,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Combat-tags all players within 4 + 0.1 × level blocks. |
| Charon's Toll | soul_drain | 50 | 1%/lvl (40%) | 50,000 ⛁ | 6 / 30 | Steals $500 × level from the nearest enemy. |
Soul Drain is the most controversial combat enchant — it directly steals currency from other players. At level 50 it steals $25,000 per proc on a 40% chance. Combine it with PVP Mine block values and you can fund your entire play session off defeated rivals. Veterans target known Soul Drain players first.
Passive Combat Income — Earn While Fighting
These enchants grant bonus money and tokens while you are in combat — turning the PVP Mine into the highest-income zone in the game for aggressive players. Predator (Venator's Instinct) is the flagship: +50% × level money and 10 × level Auctoritas per break while fighting. Executioner and Triumph's Reward scale with your kill count and killstreak — the more you win, the more you earn. Blood Lust triggers a heal + money bonus when you are below 50% HP, and Battle Harden grants Resistance to keep you alive.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Venator's Instinct | predator | 75 | Passive | 40,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | In combat: +50% × level money + 10 × level Auctoritas per break. |
| Miner of Mars | war_miner | 100 | Passive | 20,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | In combat: +10% × level money + 2 × level Auctoritas per break. |
| Bellona's Thirst | blood_lust | 50 | Passive | 35,000 ⛁ | 5 / 25 | Below 50% HP: heals 0.5 + 0.1 × level hearts + 30% × level money. |
| Lictor's Axe | executioner | 50 | Passive | 60,000 ⛁ | 8 / 40 | +5 × level Auctoritas per break for each kill in your session. |
| Triumph's Reward | kill_bonus | 50 | Passive | 45,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | +3 × level Auctoritas per break for each kill in your streak. |
| Legionary's Resolve | battle_harden | 25 | Passive | 50,000 ⛁ | 8 / 45 | In combat: grants Resistance I–III (scales with level/10). |
Predator + Executioner + Triumph's Reward is the killstreak economy trifecta. Each kill raises your session kill count (Executioner) and your current killstreak (Triumph), and Predator pays a flat bonus per break while you stay in combat. A long PVP Mine run with these three can out-earn hours of safe mining.
Which Mines & Modes Do These Work In?
Combat enchants fire only in the PVP Mine — the high-risk, high-reward mine where player-vs-player combat is enabled. They do not fire in:
- The rank-gated public mines (the normal mining progression).
- Spawn or safe zones.
- The Colosseum or Wave Defense (those use separate kits and rules).
The passive income enchants (Predator, War Miner, Blood Lust) additionally require you to be actively in combat — combat-tagged by or against another player. Mining alone in the PVP Mine with no enemies nearby will not trigger them.
How to Obtain Combat Enchants
- The
/enchantmenu — buy with Auctoritas under the CHAOS tab. Legionary Bomb and Onager Shrapnel are Rank 1 / Rank 10 (the cheapest combat enchants). - Enchant books — apply for free, or fuse two same-level books for +1.
- Crates — drop combat-enchanted books.
- Auction House — buy from PVP veterans.
Strategy — Building a PVP Mine Pickaxe
- Decide: dedicated PVP pickaxe or hybrid? A pure combat pickaxe wastes slots in normal mines but dominates the PVP Mine. A hybrid (2–3 combat slots + income slots) is safer but weaker in PVP. Most veterans own both.
- Start with Legionary Bomb + Shrapnel. Both are cheap (Rank 1 / Rank 10) and give immediate offensive presence.
- Add Predator + War Miner for income. These turn combat into your highest-income activity.
- Add Soul Drain once you can defend yourself. It paints a target on your back — veterans hunt Soul Drain users. Pair with Battle Harden (Resistance) to survive.
- Cap with Core of Vulcan + Touch of Mors at P8. The prestige-8 nuke and Wither combo can wipe entire enemy teams.
- Mine with empty balance + vault-stashed banknotes. The PVP Mine pays 2× block values but you can be killed and looted. Keep your wealth in banknotes in your player vault, not your balance.
