Beacon Enchants
Every Civitas (beacon/crystal) enchant — passive crystals, procs, quarries, domes, and the legion-power economy.
Beacon enchants (the CIVITAS category) pay out Civitas — the legion-beacon currency used for legion upgrades, Colosseum betting, gemmae, and — critically — for extracting enchants off your pickaxe. Civitas is the hardest of the three earnable currencies to grind, so a few beacon slots on your pickaxe (or a dedicated Civitas pickaxe) are how you fund the high-level economy. Every enchant here is bought from the /enchant menu under the CIVITAS tab.
This is the complete reference for every Civitas-category enchant. For the matching Denarius and Auctoritas income enchants see Money Enchants and Token Enchants.
How to Read These Tables
Each row gives the Roman name, config id, max level, proc chance at max (or Passive), the base Auctoritas cost for level 1, the prestige / rank gate, and the effect. Civitas payouts are fractional (e.g. 0.05 crystals) for passives and whole numbers (e.g. 50 × level) for rare procs — both are normal.
Civitas is often called crystals or beacons in-game and in chat. The beacon_boost / crystal_miner / civitas_* id families all pay the same currency. One Civitas funds one point of legion upgrade contribution or one extraction-attempt cost.
Core Civitas — Boost & Storm
The two headline beacon enchants. Civitas Boost is the Rank-1 snowball — +0.01 crystals per level, up to +100/break at level 10,000, at only ×1.1 cost scaling. It is the cheapest long-tail Civitas grind in the game. Civitas Storm is the prestige-8 capstone proc that temporarily replaces mine blocks with beacon blocks.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Civitas Boost | beacon_boost | 10000 | Passive | 500 ⛁ | 0 / 1 | +0.01 Civitas per level per break; max +100/break. |
| Civitas Storm | beacon_storm | 100 | 0.02%/lvl (2%) | 50,000 ⛁ | 8 / 65 | Randomly replaces mine blocks with Beacon blocks for 10s. |
Like Auctoritas Boost, Civitas Boost is the first beacon enchant you should buy. At +0.01/level and ×1.1 scaling, it is the foundation that funds every other Civitas purchase, including the all-important enchant extraction costs.
Passive Crystals — Flat Per Break
The reliable Civitas floor. These pay a small fractional amount of crystals on every break. Crystal Polisher and Crystal Magnet are the standard mid-tier passives; Crystal Rush is the expensive high-payout version (5 × level per break); and the Roman-themed passives (Marble Polish, Bridge Master, Selene's Gaze, Temple Offering, etc.) are flavor variants with slightly different per-level amounts.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crystal Polisher | beacon_polisher | 100 | Passive | 8,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | Refines each block into 0.05 + 0.03 × level crystals. |
| Crystal Magnet | beacon_magnet | 100 | Passive | 10,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Magnetically pulls 0.02 × level crystals per break. |
| Geologist | geologist | 100 | Passive | 10,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Expert geology adds 0.02 × level crystals per break. |
| Crystal Rush | beacon_rush | 50 | Passive | 30,000 ⛁ | 5 / 25 | Rushes 5 × level crystals every single break. |
| Scutum Block | scutum_block | 100 | Passive | 9,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.05 Civitas per level per break (the great shield). |
| Marble Polish | marble_polish | 100 | Passive | 8,000 ⛁ | 2 / 8 | +0.03 Civitas per level per break. |
| Bridge Master | bridge_master | 100 | Passive | 7,500 ⛁ | 2 / 8 | +0.04 Civitas per level per break. |
| Irrigation | irrigation | 100 | Passive | 7,000 ⛁ | 1 / 6 | +0.04 Civitas per level per break. |
| Temple Offering | temple_offering | 100 | Passive | 8,500 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.06 Civitas per level per break. |
| Selene's Gaze | selene_gaze | 100 | Passive | 9,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.06 Civitas per level per break (the moon). |
| Column Strength | column_strength | 100 | Passive | 4,500 ⛁ | 1 / 4 | +0.04 Civitas per level per break. |
| Censors' Review | censors_review | 100 | Passive | 8,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.05 Civitas per level per break. |
| Mosaic Master | mosaic_master | 100 | Passive | 8,500 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.05 Civitas per level per break. |
| Bestiarius Tamer | bestiarius_tamer | 100 | Passive | 8,500 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.05 Civitas per level per break. |
| Bronze Forge | bronze_forge | 100 | Passive | 9,000 ⛁ | 2 / 10 | +0.07 Civitas per level per break. |
Scutum Block (the great curved shield of the legions) is a quietly excellent pick — 0.05 Civitas per level at only 9,000 base cost and ×1.3 scaling. Two or three of these 0.04–0.07/level passives add up to a steady crystal stream that funds legion contributions passively.
Proc Crystals — Rare Drops
The proc-based beacon enchants. Crystal Miner and Crystal Surge are the frequent, smaller procs; Diamond Rush and Emerald Luck add a 50% money bonus on top of crystals; and Crystal Cavern is the rare capstone — 50 × level crystals at 0.1%/level. The Roman-themed procs (Vineyard Bounty, Onager Hurl, Marble Quarry, Dome Construction, etc.) cover the 15–40 × level range with varying proc rates.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crystal Miner | crystal_miner | 100 | 1%/lvl | 12,000 ⛁ | 2 / 12 | Mines crystal shards worth 2 × level crystals. |
| Crystal Surge | beacon_surge | 100 | 0.5%/lvl | 15,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | Floods you with 5 + 2 × level crystals. |
| Diamond Rush | diamond_rush | 50 | 0.2%/lvl | 20,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | Shatters into 10 × level crystals + 50% money bonus. |
| Emerald Luck | emerald_luck | 50 | 0.2%/lvl | 20,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | Extracts 10 × level crystals + 50% money bonus. |
| Crystal Cavern | crystal_cavern | 100 | 0.1%/lvl | 25,000 ⛁ | 5 / 25 | Discovers a hidden cavern flooding 50 × level crystals. |
| Dome Construction | dome_construction | 100 | 0.4%/lvl | 20,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Rare proc reveals 30 × level Civitas (the oculus). |
| Vineyard Bounty | vineyard_bounty | 100 | 0.8%/lvl | 12,000 ⛁ | 2 / 12 | Rare proc yields 15 × level Civitas. |
| Onager Hurl | onager_hurl | 100 | 0.3%/lvl | 25,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | Rare proc showers 40 × level Civitas. |
| Catapult Launch | catapult_launch | 100 | 0.3%/lvl | 24,000 ⛁ | 4 / 20 | Rare proc showers 38 × level Civitas. |
| Marble Quarry | marble_quarry | 100 | 0.5%/lvl | 13,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Rare proc unearths 25 × level Civitas. |

| Venator Beast | venator_beast | 100 | 0.7%/lvl | 12,000 ⛁ | 2 / 12 | Rare proc yields 18 × level Civitas. |
| Divine Procession | divine_procession | 100 | 0.6%/lvl | 12,000 ⛁ | 2 / 12 | Rare proc yields 22 × level Civitas. |
| Vaulted Ceiling | vaulted_ceiling | 100 | 0.4%/lvl | 19,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Rare proc reveals 32 × level Civitas. |
| Roman Navy | roman_navy | 100 | 0.5%/lvl | 13,000 ⛁ | 3 / 15 | Rare proc yields 24 × level Civitas from the sea-lanes. |
Crystal Cavern is the ceiling: 50 × level Civitas at 0.1%/level. At level 100 that is a 10% proc paying 5,000 crystals — enough to fund a major legion upgrade or several high-level extractions in a single break.
What Civitas Buys
Unlike Denarius and Auctoritas, Civitas has a small set of high-value sinks:
- Legion upgrades — the primary sink. Every legion level and upgrade is paid in Civitas contributed by members.
- Enchant extraction — pulling an enchant off your pickaxe into a book costs
10 × level²Civitas. This is why a steady crystal income matters for re-speccing. - Colosseum betting — pari-mutuel bets on arena matches are placed in Civitas (and Auctoritas).
- Gemmae (crystals) — some gem crafts and the gem economy intersect with Civitas.
- Outposts — the Civitas capture zone grants a legion-wide +5% token boost to the holder.
How to Obtain Beacon Enchants
- The
/enchantmenu — buy with Auctoritas under the CIVITAS tab. Note the irony: you spend tokens to buy crystal-earners. - Enchant books — apply for free, or fuse two same-level books for +1.
- Crates — drop books, including Civitas ones.
- Auction House — buy from other players.
Strategy — Building a Beacon Pickaxe
- Buy Civitas Boost first. Same logic as Auctoritas Boost — cheapest long-tail grind, funds everything else.
- Add 2–3 fractional passives. Scutum Block, Marble Polish, and Temple Offering give a steady 0.04–0.06/level stream that adds up over thousands of breaks.
- Add one reliable proc. Crystal Miner (2 × level at 1%/level) is the workhorse — frequent enough to feel active, big enough to matter.
- Add a capstone proc for spikes. Crystal Cavern or Diamond Rush for the big rare payouts that fund major purchases.
- Mine during legion events. If your legion is pushing an upgrade, coordinate a Civitas-pickaxe mining session — the contributed crystals compound across all members.
- Do not go all-in on Civitas. It is the slowest currency to grow and the one with the fewest sinks. Two or three beacon slots on a balanced pickaxe is usually enough; a dedicated Civitas pickaxe is a luxury.
