Beacon Enchants
Every Civitas (beacon/crystal) enchant — passive crystals, procs, quarries, domes, and the legion-power economy.
Beacon enchants (the CIVITAS category) pay out Civitas - the legion-beacon currency used for legion upgrades, Colosseum betting, gemmae, and - critically - for extracting enchants off your pickaxe. Civitas is the hardest of the three earnable currencies to grind, so a few beacon slots on your pickaxe (or a dedicated Civitas pickaxe) are how you fund the high-level economy. Every enchant here is bought from the /enchant menu under the CIVITAS tab.
This is the complete reference for the eleven Civitas-category enchants (as of Sept 2026). For the matching Denarius and Auctoritas income enchants see Money Enchants and Token Enchants.
How to Read These Tables
Each row gives the Roman name, config id, max level, proc chance at max (or Passive), the base Auctoritas cost for level 1, the prestige / rank gate, and the effect. Civitas payouts are fractional (e.g. 0.05) for passives and whole numbers multiplied by your level (e.g. 50 × level) for rare procs - both are normal.
Civitas is often called crystals or beacons in-game and in chat. The beacon_* / crystal_* id families all pay the same currency. Costs all scale polynomially (base × levelmultiplier, mostly ×1.2).
Passive Crystals - Every Break
The reliable Civitas floor. These pay on every break, no roll involved. Civitas Boost is the Rank-8 snowball every fresh pickaxe should carry; Crystal Rush is the expensive high-roller passive (5 × level per break);Selene's Gaze is the flavor pick with the best per-level rate among the fractional passives.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Civitas Boost | beacon_boost | 100 | Passive | 10,000 ⛁ | 0 / 8 | +0.01 Civitas per level per break (max +1 per break). The Rank-1 starter. |
| Crystal Polisher | beacon_polisher | 100 | Passive | 8,000 ⛁ | 3 / 72 | +0.05 Civitas per level per break. |
| Crystal Magnet | beacon_magnet | 100 | Passive | 10,000 ⛁ | 5 / 38 | +0.02 Civitas per level per break. |
| Crystal Rush | beacon_rush | 50 | Passive | 30,000 ⛁ | 6 / 72 | +5 Civitas per level per break - the expensive, high-output passive. |
| Selene's Gaze | selenes_gaze | 100 | Passive | 9,000 ⛁ | 4 / 48 | +0.06 Civitas per level per break (the moon). |
Civitas Boost is the first beacon enchant you should buy. At 10,000 base cost and no prestige gate it is the foundation that funds every other Civitas purchase - including the all-important enchant extraction costs (Civitas Storm even requires Civitas Boost 10 before it can be bought).
Proc Crystals - Rare Drops
The proc-based beacon enchants. Crystal Miner is the frequent workhorse (1%/level, 2 × level per proc); Crystal Surge and Marble Quarry sit in the mid-band; and Crystal Cavern is the rare capstone - 50 × level at a 0.1%/level roll. Annona's Grace is the odd one out: a charity proc that pays the whole server, double to you.
| Enchant | id | Max | Proc | Base cost | P / R | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Annona's Grace | annona | 25 | 0.04%/lvl (cap 1%) | 25,000 ⛁ | 0 / 7 | CHARITY: proc grants Civitas to EVERY player online - you get double. |
| Civitas Storm | beacon_storm | 100 | 0.02%/lvl (2%) | 50,000 ⛁ | 8 / 84 | Randomly replaces mine blocks with Beacon blocks for 10s. Requires Civitas Boost 10. |
| Crystal Miner | crystal_miner | 100 | 1%/lvl | 12,000 ⛁ | 6 / 27 | +2 × level Civitas per proc - the workhorse proc. |
| Crystal Surge | beacon_surge | 100 | 0.5%/lvl | 15,000 ⛁ | 7 / 17 | +7 × level Civitas per proc. |
| Crystal Cavern | crystal_cavern | 100 | 0.1%/lvl | 25,000 ⛁ | 8 / 16 | +50 × level Civitas per proc - the rare capstone. |
| Marble Quarry | marble_quarry | 100 | 0.5%/lvl | 13,000 ⛁ | 6 / 50 | +25 × level Civitas per proc (the quarries of Luna). |
Crystal Cavern is the ceiling: 50 × level Civitas at 0.1%/level. At level 100 that is a 10% proc paying 5,000 Civitas - enough to fund a major legion upgrade or several high-level extractions in a single break.
What Civitas Buys
Unlike Denarius and Auctoritas, Civitas has a small set of high-value sinks:
- Legion upgrades - the primary sink. Every legion level and upgrade is paid in Civitas contributed by members.
- Enchant extraction - pulling an enchant off your pickaxe into a book costs
10 × level²Civitas. This is why a steady crystal income matters for re-speccing. - Abilities - combat and mining ability unlocks are priced in Civitas.
- Colosseum betting - pari-mutuel bets on arena matches are placed in Civitas (and Auctoritas).
- Augers - the two god-tier drills (Pluto's, Jupiter's) are bought with Civitas.
How to Obtain Beacon Enchants
- The
/enchantmenu - buy with Auctoritas under the CIVITAS tab. Note the irony: you spend tokens to buy crystal-earners. - Enchant books - apply for free, or fuse two same-level books for +1.
- Crates - drop books, including Civitas ones.
- Auction House - buy from other players.
Strategy - Building a Beacon Pickaxe
- Buy Civitas Boost first. Cheapest long-tail grind, funds everything else.
- Add one or two fractional passives. Selene's Gaze and Crystal Polisher give a steady 0.05-0.06/level stream that adds up over thousands of breaks.
- Add one reliable proc. Crystal Miner (2 × level at 1%/level) is the workhorse - frequent enough to feel active, big enough to matter.
- Add a capstone proc for spikes. Crystal Cavern or Crystal Rush for the big rare payouts that fund major purchases.
- Mine during legion events. If your legion is pushing an upgrade, coordinate a Civitas-pickaxe mining session - the contributed crystals compound across all members.
- Do not go all-in on Civitas. It is the slowest currency to grow and the one with the fewest sinks. Two or three beacon slots on a balanced pickaxe is usually enough; a dedicated Civitas pickaxe is a luxury.
