Casino
Wager Denarius on coinflip, crash, and roulette — double your money or lose it all.
The casino is where you wager Denarius against the house on games of chance. Win big, lose bigger. Three games are available — coinflip, crash, and roulette — each with its own odds and house edge. This page explains the rules, the math, and how to gamble without going broke.
Gambling is volatile. The house always has an edge, so over thousands of bets you will trend toward losing. Treat the casino as entertainment, not an income source. Never bet money you cannot afford to lose.
The Three Games
| Game | Command | How it works | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coinflip | /coinflip <amount> | A pure 50/50. Bet Denarius, the coin flips, double or nothing. | Tiny house edge (~2%): you win roughly 49% of the time, paid 2x. |
| Crash | /crash <amount> | A multiplier rises from 1.00x. Cash out before it crashes to bank your bet times the multiplier. | House edge ~3%. The longer you wait, the bigger the payout — and the bigger the crash risk. |
| Roulette | /roulette <amount> <bet> | Bet on color (red/black), parity (odd/even), a range (dozens), or a single number. Wheel spins, pays out by odds. | House edge ~5% on most bets; single-number bets pay 35x. |
Coinflip
The simplest game. You wager Denarius, the coin flips, and if it lands your way you double your bet. Type /coinflip <amount> (alias /cf).
- Odds: roughly 49% to win (the house keeps a ~2% edge).
- Payout: 2x your bet on a win.
- Best for: quick, low-thinking bets and resolving bets with friends.
Coinflip is the closest to a fair coin you will find, but the edge still grinds you down over many flips. Walk away while you are ahead.
Crash
A multiplier starts at 1.00x and rises continuously. At any moment it can crash. Cash out before the crash and you win your bet times the current multiplier. Wait too long and you lose the bet entirely.
Type /crash <amount> to start a round. Watch the multiplier climb and hit Cash Out to lock in your winnings.
Cash-out strategy
| Multiplier | Risk profile |
|---|---|
| 1.2x – 1.5x | Very safe. Wins most of the time, small profit. Good for grinding. |
| 2x | Balanced. ~50/50 to survive past this point. |
| 3x – 5x | Risky. Big payout when it lands, but crashes here often. |
| 10x+ | Lottery-tier. Almost never survives this long. Don't bank on it. |
The discipline trick: decide your cash-out multiplier before you place the bet and stick to it. Chasing higher multipliers is the fastest way to lose everything.
Roulette
A classic European-style roulette wheel. Place a bet on a color, parity, range, or single number, then the wheel spins and pays out according to the odds. Type /roulette <amount> <bet>.
| Bet type | Payout | Approx. odds |
|---|---|---|
| Red / Black | 2x | ~48% |
| Odd / Even | 2x | ~48% |
| Low (1–18) / High (19–36) | 2x | ~48% |
| Dozen (1–12, 13–24, 25–36) | 3x | ~32% |
| Single number | 36x | ~2.7% |
Outside bets (red/black, odd/even) hit nearly half the time but only pay 2x. Single-number bets pay 36x but hit less than 3% of the time. Most long-term players stick to the outside bets to minimize variance.
The Math: Why the House Wins
Every casino game on Imperium has a built-in house edge. That means the average return-to-player (RTP) is below 100%, so over a large number of bets the casino always profits.
- Coinflip: ~2% edge. RTP ~98%.
- Crash: ~3% edge. RTP ~97%.
- Roulette: ~5% edge on most bets. RTP ~95%.
In the short run, anything can happen — you might double your money three times in a row. But the longer you play, the more your results converge on the house edge. The single most important skill in the casino is knowing when to stop.
Bankroll Management
Treat your Denarius like a real bankroll and you will last longer:
- Set a budget per session. Only bring what you are willing to lose.
- Use fixed bet sizes. Betting a flat % of your bankroll (e.g. 5%) survives variance better than all-in bets.
- Set a win goal and a stop-loss. Quit when you are up 50% or down 30%, whichever comes first.
- Do not chase losses. Doubling your bet to recover a loss (the Martingale) eventually hits the table limit and wipes you out.
- Withdraw winnings. Use
/withdrawto banknote your profits so they are not sitting in your betting balance.
Casino vs Everything Else
The casino is one of the few systems in Imperium with a negative expected value. Mining, voting, crates, daily rewards, and trading all have positive or neutral EV. The casino is for fun — if you want reliable income, mine with boosters instead.
