Bounties & Contracts

Put Denarius on a rival's head, or post jobs the whole server can take for a fee.

Imperium has two systems for putting a price on a citizen's effort. Bounties let you place Denarius on another player's head — whoever kills them in PvP claims the pot. Contracts let you post jobs the whole server can take: mine these blocks, kill these players, earn this currency, for a Denarius reward. Both turn the economy into a PvP-and-labor marketplace.

Bounties — Money on a Head

A bounty is money you put up to reward the player who kills a target in PvP. Place one on an enemy, a griefer, or a rival legion's top miner — every bounty stacks, so the most-hated players accumulate huge prices on their heads. The killer (in the PVP Mine or Colosseum) collects the full bounty when they land the killing blow.

How bounties work

  1. Find a target — they must be online when you place the bounty.
  2. Run /bounty place <player> <amount>. The Denarius is taken from you and added to the pot.
  3. The whole server is broadcast: "A bounty of $X was placed on <player>!"
  4. Anyone who kills that player in PvP claims the bounty.
CommandWhat it does
/bountyView the top 10 active bounties on the server (alias /bounty list, /bounty top).
/bounty <player>Check the total bounty currently on a player's head.
/bounty place <player> <amount>Place a Denarius bounty on an online player. Broadcasts to the whole server.
/bounty helpShow the bounty command reference.

Bounties are rate-limited (1 every couple of seconds) to prevent spam. You can't bounty yourself, and the target must be online — you can't pre-load a bounty on someone who hasn't logged in yet.

Reading the Bounty Board

Type /bounty to see the top 10 active bounties on the server, ranked by total value. Each entry shows the target's name, the combined bounty on their head, and how many individual bounties make up that total. To check a single player, run /bounty <player>.

The bounty board is a social scoreboard. A high bounty is a trophy — and a target. The richest PVP Mine miners often rack up enormous bounties as rivals try to cash in on their high-value kills.

Contracts — Player-Posted Jobs

Contracts are a freelance marketplace. You post a job — "mine 1,000 stone and I'll pay 50,000 Denarius" — and any other player can claim it. The reward is escrowed the instant you post (removed from your balance and held by the system), so claimers know the money is real. When the claimer finishes the objective, the escrowed reward pays out automatically minus a small platform fee.

Contract types

TypeWhat the claimer must do
MINE_BLOCKSClaimer must mine N blocks of a specific material (e.g. MINE_BLOCKS DIAMOND_ORE 100).
BREAK_BLOCKSClaimer must break N blocks of any type.
EARN_CURRENCYClaimer must earn N of a currency (Denarius, Auctoritas, or Civitas).
KILL_PLAYERSClaimer must kill N players in PvP.

Posting a Contract

As the poster, you set the type, the target (a material name, currency type, or "any"), the required amount, and the Denarius reward. The reward is withdrawn from your balance immediately and held in escrow — you cannot get it back unless the contract expires unclaimed.

Example:

  • /contract create MINE_BLOCKS DIAMOND_ORE 100 500000 — pays 500,000 Denarius to whoever mines 100 diamond ore.
  • /contract create KILL_PLAYERS any 10 250000 — pays 250,000 Denarius for 10 PvP kills.
  • /contract create BREAK_BLOCKS any 5000 1000000 — pays 1,000,000 Denarius for 5,000 blocks broken.
CommandWhat it does
/contractBrowse the 15 most recent available contracts (alias /contract list).
/contract create <type> <target> <amount> <reward>Post a job. Reward in Denarius is escrowed immediately. Example: /contract create MINE_BLOCKS STONE 1000 50000
/contract claim <id>Accept a contract by its ID. You cannot claim your own.
/contract mineView your accepted contracts and their live progress.
/contract helpShow the contract command reference.

Claiming & Completing

  1. Browse open jobs with /contract.
  2. Find one you can do and run /contract claim <id>.
  3. Do the work — mine, kill, earn. Progress is tracked automatically as you play.
  4. Check your live progress any time with /contract mine.
  5. When the objective is met, the reward pays out instantly (minus a 5% platform fee).

You can hold up to 5 active contracts at once, and a single poster can have up to 5 unclaimed contracts live at a time. Contracts that go unclaimed for 7 days expire and the escrowed reward is refunded to the poster.

Tips

  1. Bounties are PvP-only. The target must die in PvP (PVP Mine, Colosseum) for the killer to collect — not to a mob or fall.
  2. Stack bounties on rivals. The bounty board combines every individual bounty on a player, so a coordinated legion can drive a price sky-high.
  3. Set realistic contract rewards. Too low and no one claims; too high and you overpay. Check /contract for the going rate on common jobs.
  4. MINE_BLOCKS contracts pay for your AFK mining. Post one for a material you always need and let other players stockpile it for you.
  5. Contracts are a Denarius sink. The 5% platform fee is destroyed, removing money from the economy — good for everyone's value.
  6. Combine with the PVP Mine. A bounty on a high-value miner plus a kill in the PVP Mine pays twice: the bounty pot plus the kill reward.
  7. Check /contract mine often. If you forget which jobs you claimed, the command shows progress and payout for every one.
