Progression

Seasons

Six-month competitive periods that reset the climb — rank, prestige, and balances — while AUREUS, cosmetics, and achievements persist.

Imperium runs in seasons - roughly six-month competitive periods (180 days) that reset the climb while preserving everything that makes you you. Rank, prestige, balances, and the pickaxe economy restart; AUREUS, cosmetics, achievements, and your social ties do not. When a season ends, the strongest finishers are recorded in the Season Hall and everyone's final prestige converts into a permanent heritage reward for the next era.

What Resets, What Persists

SystemAt season end
RankReset to Rank 1 - the season climb is the game.
PrestigeReset to P0 (season-scoped).
Denarius / Auctoritas / CivitasReset to the starting grant ($10,000 and a fresh purse).
PickaxeLevel 1, no enchants - the token economy resets with it.
Story progressBack to chapter 1, with "Echo" fast-track flags for chapters you finished (3× objective speed, 20% rewards on replay).
Legion level & bankReset to level 1 - but membership survives intact.
Crate pity countersWiped - fresh luck for the new season.
AUREUSNever touched. Premium currency is real money; resets do not go near it.
CosmeticsPersist - purchases and earned status stay.
Achievements, codex, playtime, lifetime blocksPersist - your identity and meta-progression.

Heritage - Your Reward for the Climb

Your final prestige at season end locks in a cumulative heritage band for the next season (as of Sept 2026):

Final prestigeHeritage
P0Veteran title + 25,000 Civitas.
P1–P2+ bronze laurel cosmetic + a line of starter crate keys.
P3–P4+ silver laurel + more keys + 2% permanent earn multiplier.
P5–P6+ gold laurel + more keys + 4% earn multiplier.
P7++ triumphal crown + Consul keys + 6% earn multiplier + your name in the Season Hall.

Every band includes everything below it. The earn multiplier applies to Denarius income all season - the long-shadow reward for a strong previous era.

The Season Hall & Checking In

Season history is recorded per player and per legion - final prestige, rank, blocks, playtime, completed chapters - and shown in the Season Hall for the top finishers. In game, /season shows the current season name, your sell multiplier, and badge bonuses (each season badge adds +1% sell, capped at +15%).

The reset is deliberate. Seasons exist so the ladder stays competitive for new citizens without wiping the account: a fresh player in month one of a season races against veterans running on heritage bonuses, not against three-year-old pickaxes. Spend down your Denarius before the horn - balances reset to the starting grant, and AUREUS is the only vault the reset will not open.
