Tournaments
Weekly Colosseum bracket — sign up Thursday, fight Friday 19:00, fixed kit, best-of series and Mêlée finals.
Every week the Colosseum hosts a single-elimination tournament: sign up Thursday, fight Friday night, and take the bracket. The format is deliberately fair — a fixed kit means no donor sword decides the final, and your own gear is banked and restored untouched.
The Weekly Cycle
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Thursday 00:00 | Signups open for the weekly Colosseum tournament. |
| Friday 18:00 | Signups close. |
| Friday 19:00 | The bracket runs — fights start automatically. |
| Odd ISO weeks | The final becomes a 4-player mêlée ("Mêlée Fridays"). |
Format & Rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Slots | 32 entrants; drops to 16 when fewer than 24 sign up. |
| Early rounds | 1v1 best-of-1 — lose once in the early rounds and you are out. |
| Semis & final | Best-of-3. |
| Kit | Fixed tournament kit: arena sword, armor, shield, and 2 golden apples. |
| Your gear | Your real gear is banked on entry and restored EXACTLY after elimination — nothing risks leaving with it. |
| Spectating | Eliminated fighters and spectators view from the arena viewing point; a physical bracket board shows the tree. |
Why the Fixed Kit Matters
Tournament balance is the point of the format. Every fighter enters with the same arena sword, armor, shield, and 2 golden apples — progression gear is banked at the door. That makes the bracket a pure skill read: movement, spacing, shield timing, and apple discipline. It is also the cheapest PvP glory on the server — a fresh account can win the whole thing.
Pair it with PvP systems. Tournament performance feeds your combat résumé alongside PvP, ELO, and killstreaks — but unlike the PVP Mine, nothing is at risk except the bracket itself.
Signing Up
- Watch for the signup broadcast after Thursday 00:00 (UTC).
- Sign up before Friday 18:00 — late entries miss the bracket.
- Show up Friday 19:00 with an empty-ish inventory; the kit does the rest.
