Getting Started

World Map

Navigate the spawn world with every NPC, crate, and landmark marked.

The World Map at imperiummc.net/map is an interactive, rendered-from-server-data map of the spawn world. Every placed NPC, every crate pedestal, and every landmark appears on the actual terrain - not a placeholder image.

What's on the Map

Marker TypeDescription
NPC markersAll 140+ placed story and district NPCs with role-colored pins, hover tooltips, and click-to-detail cards
Landmarks & districtsMonuments, districts, regions, and the warp points between them
World spawnThe actual spawn beacon at the server's spawn coordinates

How to Use It

  • Search - type an NPC name, role, or description to filter the sidebar
  • Click any NPC - the map flies to them and shows a detail card with their description, coordinates, and distance from spawn
  • Coordinate jump - type x, z in the Go box and press Enter
  • Filter by role - click a role in the legend to isolate those NPCs
  • Toggle labels - show or hide NPC name tags
  • Grid overlay - toggle chunk boundary lines with axis labels
  • Copy coordinates - one-click copy on the position readout or any NPC card
  • Share links - the URL updates: /map#npc=Marcus or /map#x=100&z=-200

NPC Roles

The original story cast is color-coded by role. The district crowd that joined later carries many more roles (Consul, Gladiator, Vintner, Shade, and dozens besides) - any role without its own color falls back to the classic gold pin:

RolePin ColorDescription
GuideTealPoints new players in the right direction
MerchantGoldSells goods and supplies
GuardBlueKeeps order at the gates
CenturionRed-orangeStory chapter gatekeepers
ElderVioletKeepers of history and lore
CommanderPinkGarrison leadership
DockworkerMintThe dockhands who know every crate
CookSalmonFeeds the garrison
PriestessWarm yellowBlesses travelers

The map renders from the actual Minecraft world data (.mca region files), downloaded from the server and processed into a pixel-accurate top-down image at 1 pixel per block. Block colors match real terrain: grass is green, sand is tan, water is blue, stone is gray - with elevation shading for depth.
